Terms and Conditions relating to the Utilities Promotion

  1. The promotion is valid from Saturday 1 July 2023 until Monday 31 July 2023 (the “Promotional Period”).
  2. During the Promotional Period if you spend $50 or more using your Purple Visa Card to pay for your monthly residential Power, Gas or Internet bill, you will automatically go into the draw to win back the amount you have paid for your Power, Gas, or Internet (the “Promotion”). The maximum credit you could win is $500.00 and it must relate to one single transaction from your Purple Visa Card.
  3. Only 10 winners will be drawn for the Promotion and the random draw will take place on 8 August 2023 by random electronic selection.
  4. If an entry is determined to be the result of an Additional Cardholder’s use of their card, then the entry will be recorded against the Main Cardholder’s Card Account and the credit won under the Promotion will be awarded to the Main Cardholder.
  5. The following people are not eligible for this Promotion:
    a) An employee of SBS Money Limited, including the families of that employee;
    b) An employee of a related entity to SBS Money Limited, including the families of that employee; and
    c) An employee of an associated agency to SBS Money Limited, including the families of that employee.
  6. If you are the winner:
    a) the credit will be applied to the Main Cardholder’s Card Account within 15 business days after the Promotional Period ends.
    b) you will be notified by telephone from the details held by us on your Card Account. If you cannot be contacted within 48 hours of the draw, another winner will be drawn on the same terms as the original draw.
    c) your name may be published on the Purple Visa Card website.
  7. The credit applied to the Main Cardholder’s Card Account is not transferable, exchangeable, or refundable if the Main Cardholder closes their Card Account and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  8. The details of your Card Account must be up to date (including a phone number and email address) and the Card Account must be open and cannot be in arrears or overdue at the time of the draw. If your Card Account has been closed, is in arrears or is overdue, you will not be eligible to win the credit and a new winner will be drawn.
  9. All decisions of SBS Money Limited are final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  10. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and any other applicable terms and conditions.
  11. If for any reason SBS Money Limited are unable to run the Promotion as planned, they reserve the right (in their sole discretion) to extend, postpone, amend, reschedule or cancel the Promotion at any time on the provision of reasonable notice, which shall include posting notice of the change on www.purplevisa.co.nz/utilities-promotion-july2023.
  12. SBS Money Limited and any other agencies associated with this Promotion will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which may be sustained, directly or indirectly by any Cardholder in connection with this Promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
  13. Any capitalised terms used in these Terms and Conditions but are not defined shall have their meaning in the Purple Visa Card Terms and Conditions.
